I’m with you about not hating shorts. My YouTube algorithm is great, the shorts it recommends are very geeky or from topics that I’m very interested in and I can just jump to my subscriptions if I don’t want to see random shorts/videos

Technology@lemmy.world•Booking.com under fire as hundreds of complaints lodged with Fair TradingEnglish
91·2 months agoUff I never had a bad experience with them, I got my refund very quickly the only time I had a major issue but I’ve not used them in a while
Lately I check these “discount hotel” websites and then check directly with the hotel to get a price match. They usually do with Priceline, agoda, booking, experian and hotels.com

63·2 months agoMy understanding is that Whatsapp is “real” e2e and it’s based on signal protocol. That app is the main IM in many countries so they’ll probably won’t mess too much with it
I didn’t really expect Instagram or messenger to be really encrypted

1·3 months agoI mean good-ish in the lesser-evil type of thing. I don’t expect any of those to be 100% ethical but there are some that are a lot worse than others
I don’t really have a computer capable of running a local AI. I have an i3 laptop from around 6 years ago with 12gb of RAM and integrated graphics

2·3 months agoNo, I mean good in the sense of less evil. I don’t ask any question to a bot where I need complete accuracy

31·3 months agoIs there a “good-ish” AI chatbot? I uninstalled chatgpt and started using claude over the weekend 🤡
I don’t use it that much, maybe a couple of questions a week and some help understanding Japanese grammar

102·3 months agoEven when they give the correct answer they talk too much. AI responses contain a lot of garbage. When AI gives you an answer it will try to justify itself. Since they won’t give you brief responses the responses will be long.

2·3 months agoI meant Strava, I don’t have a Garmin. I use Strava (I pay for premium) and I like it and they keep adding features (I mostly ignore their AI)
After 3 free apps that I used to track my runs went under or really enshittified I decided it was worth it to pay for something I liked
