I worked in IT 10 years ago, everything was tracked, idk what the big deal is, company owned equipment with company owned security/audit logging software, quite standard. Only difference is they will try to train AI with really wasteful keystroke/mouse tracking now??? no big deal.

I have worked in IT for 15 years, and no - the level of surveillance is not the same everywhere.
Not 15 years ago but during/after covid it really started tracking harder
Probably in some, not all companies. Depends on who you have worked for
