10 days agoAs one of those adopters 15 years ago, it was a no-brainer. I could either message my wife “free” or send SMSs at 20c each.

SMS is now 11 cents, better, but not free. There are a bazillion more apps that do free messaging but everybody, even companies expect to have WhatsApp
