What did you do to get OSM working properly? I’ve not used it enough to get to know it because it’s not been reliable enough for me. But a couple of times it’s taken me as far as a road, but didn’t know where on the road my destination was.
Just a guy standing in front of the internet asking it to please not

Haven’t Samsungs always been trash though? From a software perspective, I mean?
I’ve never owned one, but I’ve tried to troubleshoot a few for relatives, and always found their version of Android to be just cunty.
I’m thick as mince and am running GrapheneOS, AND I came from 16 years of iPhones.
If I can do it, anyone can.
Further to the other answers; I have one of these for using my iPod in the car. It has the added bonus of taking line-level volume, so you set the volume from the head unit, not the iPod. And it can charge while you’re using it.
I think it’ll charge from the head unit’s USB socket without trying to connect, because the USB plug is just for charging.
The game is 50GB, the other 200GB is just “fuck you” space.
My manager ordered four “4TB” external SSDs from AliExpress a few weeks back. He paid £60 total for them, delivered.
My Sus alarm started clanging, so I grabbed one off him and ran some tests on it.
After a couple of days of the tests chuntering along, I ended up reasonably convinced that they’re - at most - 40GB. And even at that capacity they’re useless, transferring at around 10MB/s
Apple are shithouses under Cook, but they’re not that bad.
Yet.
Personally, I’m sticking with macOS as my primary OS until the point that Asahi solves DP alt mode and I can run two displays from it.
My 2014 Mac mini runs Mint, so I’m more than happy to dive in to Linux as my main.
I currently have a modded iPod mini with 128Gb of music, around 1Gb of which was bought from iTunes.
It works perfectly fine. Remarkably so, in fact. Damn things 20 years old, I can plug it into my M2 Macbook and sync music like always.
Fuck Nick Clegg. Fuck that guy into the fucking sun.
Back in 2010 he managed to surf a wave of genuine optimism from young British voters who wanted something less shit, and found himself in a position where he could have brought about some genuine change for the better.
Instead that cunt hitched his wagon to the fucking Tories, who straight away announced an increase to university tuition fees. And who then went on to spend 15 years raping and pillaging the country like only fucking Tories can.
So yeah, fuck Nick Clegg.
As a Kobo user who sends articles to my Kobo via Pocket A LOT, this is some hefty bullshit.
See, I don’t understand why anyone would need to immediately follow that many randoms. And I don’t get the need to speedrun social media.
But hey, it takes all sorts.
I dunno. I joined Mastodon back in 2022 and just…followed people.
They weren’t the same people as on Twitter, but it didn’t really matter in the end. I now follow almost 600 people and never feel like my feed is empty.
One social media site doesn’t have to be better than another, it just has to be sufficient for your needs.
I set up Wallabag on my Kobo last week and really don’t like it when compared with the default Pocket implementation. Having to mess about getting it set up, and having to install KOReader just to replicate a function I already had and used extensively is irritating as hell. And it’s not as good either.
Fuck Mozilla. They didn’t have to buy Pocket, and they didn’t have to shut it down. The pricks.
