A big one that I don’t think is in this video is it hashed similar looking images and the Mod can ban them, this is useful to stop CSAM

Now this is solid!!
I have TrueNAS with 2x 6TB HDD’s in a ZFS Mirror
I plan on getting another 6TB drive, leave it at my parents and have it power on once a week and sync, so that if my house burns down I don’t lose everything
thanks I managed to enable openvino and pick a stronger model and it’s working quite well, I also bumped the ram to 10gb
I could argue that WiFi uses more power than LAN cables, so you’re paying to use WiFi
The important thing is if it’s worth the price, paying 5$ extra per month in power might be worth it for a LOT of people
Yes, all content is shared
It’s important now that we don’t all move to lemmy.world we want many smaller instances, not one really big one.
PS. Checkout PieFed, it’s much more feature rich compared to lemmy, and has better mod tools.
Consider moving them to PieFed.
It’s more feature rich, especially when it comes to mod tools.
Consider moving them to PieFed
It has powerful mod features that Lemmy does not
Now is a good time to check out PieFed.
It also has much better mod tools, so it will make life easier for mods
A lot of people would be fine with that.
WiFi is very inefficient compared to a Lan cable, yet we use those
Efficiency and outright performance isn’t always a priority.
A lan cable outperforms a wireless Internet connection in every way, yet most people just use WiFi
Strict parents create sneaky kids.
It’s good that you’re protective, but be careful not to be overly protective, kids need to think for themselves, make mistakes and learn from them.
My experience has often been that Business mostly cares about what they and their users can directly interact with (The FE) and don’t really care about spending time and effort on the BE
I’ll make sure to follow the 3-2-1 principle as I move off of the cloud
