While I agree, in terms of actual streaming performance and the player, YouTube hasn’t made that worse yet and I hope they never do.
YouTube is very impressive from a technical perspective, regardless of the user experience.
A free user viewing an ad is profitable though, so I would say that’s what the other streaming services get wrong, there is no free option even though their lowest option usually has ads.
If it was a misunderstanding, wouldn’t he apologize instead of standing his ground?
I once accidentally touched a women’s boob, I didn’t insist it was an accident, I just apologized instantly…
There is an obvious answer here that both the author and the people in this thread are ignoring.
Driving as a transportation method is a high risk/cost high flexibility/comfort solution.
Pretty much everyone who has accepted driving as their transportation method understands that it’s not the safest way, so a lot of drivers are always willing to take a little bit more risk to save money or something like that.
A better question is, why are we so okay with accepting such high risks for transportation. The human mind is terrible at risk assessment so I think it’s just a culture thing that car accidents are a part of life.
Depends how broad your definition of algorithm is. Is sort by upvotes an algorithm? I say no but sort by hot is.
So it is possible by this definition to have a feed without any algorithm.
A post about technology on the technology community?
What year is this?
What a terrible idea.
If I were to pay for a digital item, I would get a guarantee that the data is valid and works.
As in, paying for LLMs, imo, is actually a worse deal than standard micro transactions.
They are more like loot boxes, you pay for the chance of a good result.
