It’s just called AI in the media everywhere and marketing works. I think online folks forget that something as simple as getting a Lemmy account by yourself puts you into the top quintile of tech literacy.

I set one up with ZoneMinder and some cheap poe IP cameras for my house. Works great and shrinks the ewaste pile a little bit.
It is still possible to discharge student loans in bankruptcy in the US. It does require meeting a more stringent test than other unsecured debt for loans that covered tuition specifically, but the large majority of people who seek relief through bankruptcy get it. Last I looked it was more than 90% get at least some relief.
